Junior College – Science & Commerce – 11th & 12th
11TH COMMERCE
Introduction: The Junior College engages in imparting the knowledge of Commerce subjects to students on the basis of guidelines prescribed by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Std XI is the first of the two years that comprise the +2 level of education.
Intake: 80
Eligibility
: The norms prescribed by the Deputy Director of Education (DyDE), Pune, for the Std 11 Centralised Admission Process will be binding on students seeking admission to Std XI.
Structure of Course: Students may choose ONE of the following Groups. It may be noted that the courses of Group 'A' are taught in both English and Marathi. The courses of Group ‘B’ are, however, taught only in English. Therefore, the courses of Group ‘B’ are not available to the Marathi Medium students.

NOTE:
1.In order to pass Std XI, a student must obtain (a) minimum 35 average marks in EVERY subject; (b) a ‘pass’ grade in EVS and HPE, separately.
2.The Average Score in each subject will be calculated as indicated above.
3.Students MUST appear for all Oral/ Practical/Test and written examinations.
Admission Procedure:: It is mandatory for students seeking admission to Std XI to participate in the Class 11Centralised Admission Process conducted by the DyDE, Pune, and to adhere to the norms prescribed therein.
12TH COMMERCE
Introduction: This is the second year of the +2 level which commences from Std XI. Students continue to receive the knowledge of Commerce subjects according to the curricula and syllabi prescribed by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

Eligibility:
Students must have passed Std XI in order to be able to seek admission to STD XII.

NOTE:
1. Submission of assignments/projects for EVS and Health and Physical Education is compulsory. In case of any lapse on the part of the student, the HSC Board may withhold the student’s final-result of Std XII.
2. Students MUST appear for all Oral/ Practical/Test and written examinations.
Admission Procedure:
The admission procedure for students from other colleges seeking admission to Std. XII will be governed by the norms prescribed by the DyDE, Pune, for such cases.
Important instructions for Std XI and Std XII:
Please note that:-
1. 75% attendance for lectures and practical sessions in each term is compulsory.
2.Satisfactory completion of requirements under the schemes of Health and Physical Education (HPE) or National Cadet Corps (NCC) or National Service Scheme (NSS) is compulsory.
3.A student will not be allowed to appear for the HSC Board Examination unless he/she produces a certificate of satisfactory completion of work from the concerned Teacher-in-charge.
4.Students enrolling for the Marathi medium of instruction will be allowed to opt only for Marathi as the second language.
5.Students opting for French or German must have secured minimum 60% marks in Std X.
6.Students opting for Information Technology must have secured minimum 65% marks in Std X and will be required to pay special fees. The number of seats available for this course is 60.
7.There are 50 seats for the Vocational Banking Course. Admission to the course is strictly on the basis of merit.
8.Mathematics is offered to meritorious students only.
